The Black People fad was created in October 2005 after during a Hurricane Katrina disaster relief telethon, Kanye West broke away from the script and complained about the treatment of black people. He then followed by saying the now well-known comment: "George Bush doesn't care about black people". In the fad, "black people" is replaced with another YTMND.
