Chibi Tai/Chibi-Tai
Chibi Tai (known as Chibi-Tai on the YTMND main site due to it's bizarre inability to register spaces) is a mildly successful YTMND creator, despite creating sites that only a mother would love. He resides in Belfast, Northern Ireland, a small country with a population of about 1.5 million people plus a feckload of cows, most of which reside in Carryduff. (The cows, that is, not the people. No one actually lives in Carryduff.*)
*Alright, there's a few lovely young girls with whom Chibi is acquainted with that live there, so including their families there's a population of about seven. Haha, it's only a joke. Please don't hurt me - I mean, him.
Chibi Tai's YTMNDs
Whilst Chibi's name is not exactly plastered over the frontpage [although it bloody well should be], he has a minor following thanks to his sites simplistic nature and ability to deliver cheap jokes. Many of his sites are derived from ScndPistonHonda's Old People site, using an audio loop, text and the result of a Google Image Search to make song lyrics appear out of context. Chibi states that some of these sites are his personal bests, citing Man hit by lightning describes his experience, Touching You and No no no, the script goes like THIS... as some of his favourites. Indeed, while these sites have never made it into the Up and Coming [motherfucking NARVs can't get the friggin' joke while that stupid Santabot site that was made at the same time got straight 5s I'll fuckin' kill the lot of 'em] they usually gain positive votes from people who view his sites.
Not, of course, that Chibi Tai is a one-trick pony. His sites also include satirical jabs at frontpage "culture", creating NEJHWK7MPITB, a parody of the NEDM fad [for Christ's sake you stupid people it was funny for the first two sites but then it was shit raaaaaaargh] and Instant 5, which points a satirical view over users who upvote sites containing porn [honestly what's wrong with you damn people you've got a whole damn internet to look for porn god I hate you all]. At other times he creates sites displaying his love for all things random, such as ZORT [if any of you can guess the names of all those people I'll be impressed], A Pig. In A Cage. On Antibiotics and his various submissions to the Jed fad.
Frontpage Success
As stated before, few of Chibi's sites get much time on the frontpage [bastards]. As of 27th July 2006 only 3 of his sites have ever made the Up and Coming. The three sites are:
- Inkdrinker fails at applying for jobs - Chibi's first ever site, submitted for the Inkdrinker Contest. As the site list wasn't running on real time back then, a sudden gust of upvotes marred with a list refresh secured it's place on the list, before being downvoted to a 3.05 rating. [though how anyone thought it was any good in the first place is beyond me]
- YTMND Dialup Simulator - Chibi's most successful site to date, gaining over 500 votes and over 9000 views. With a rating of over 4.30, it is infrequently seen in the Worthwhile YTMNDs list. [I think it's a bit overrated though. I'd probably have given it a 3 if someone else made it]
- Instant 5 - Surprisingly for a site making fun of YTMND's core users this made the Up and Coming list, albeit only for about ten minutes.
Mannerisms and Voting Habits
Chibi Tai appears to the YTMND public in the form of Dan Smith (pictured), a member of the infamous Killer 7 assassins. When reporters asked him why, he replied, "Who the fuck are you and what are you doing in my house?", before firing in their general direction. [Cheeky bastards] However, Chibi has informed people that the reason is "because my normal avatar's Chiyo from Azumanga Daioh, and there's already loads of people with that here. Plus I'd have the '1'd for anime' brigade on my back. Christ, I hate those idiots". [It's true. They're a bunch of pricks]
Chibi tends to vote rarely, however his voting habits are easily traced due to the fact that he makes sure to always leave a comment after rating a site. He claims that this is his way of showing defiance to stealth downvoters, who he describes as "the lowest of the low". [Well, except for limbo champions, of course. And midgets. Heh, midgets are funny.] Chibi's comments range from artistic gushing for sites that ooze brilliance, bitter sarcasm for badly-conceived fad sites and bizarre randomness for anything with Jed in it. [Did I mention that Jed sites are amazing? Well they are.]
