Foot Doctor is another interruption fad similar to NEDM and Thwomp, either being a parody of interruption fads or a true interruption fad. Foot Doctor sites typically involve a crude image of a foot with a face and doctor's mirror pasted onto someone's shoulders. Some sites also include a hand with a similar face. As the YTMND progresses, the Foot Doctor and hand interrupt the YTMND and the Hydrocity Zone Act 1 song from Sonic the Hedgehog 3 starts.

Origins

Foot Doctor was created by YTMND user jerwil in response to a comment made by mattdh12 regarding an NEDM site called With Alltel Wireless you can.... Mattdh12 stated his disapproval of NEDM sites and replied in two posts:

  • "give me a break. its to the point im DISGUSTED to see nedm. movie clip/commercial clip/internet clip: person 1 says "blah blah blah blah blah" person 2 says "blah blah blah blah blah" person 1 says "blah blah blah blah NEDM" then the music kicks in. this has been done FIFTY MILLION FUCKING TIMES, drives me CRAZY. seriously, do you people LIKE hearing the same joke OVER and OVER again? is it seriously funny the 5,000,000th time? come up with ANYTHING different. seriously, ANYTHING. movie clip/commercial clip/internet clip: person 1 says 'blah blah blah blah blah' person 2 says 'blah blah blah blah blah' person 1 says 'blah blah blah blah FOOT DOCTOR!' then random foot doctor music kicks in.....yeah, ANYTHING will be better than the same thing weve seen SOOOOO many times".

The next day jerwil had created a new version of the aforementioned Alltel Wireless NEDM site, resulting in the first Footdoctor site. mattdh12 was the first to comment on the site and said he actually found it funny and said the music fitted perfectly.

jerwil has since posted a "Hi-Def Extended Edition of F00TD0CT0R" containing hi-res versions of "Foot Doctor" and "Hand Patient" to aid others in making Foot Doctor sites.
