Worthy spinoffs:

On September 13, 2009, during the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards (VMA's), while singer Taylor Swift was accepting her award for Best Female Video, rapper Kanye West went on stage and grabbed the microphone to proclaim that Beyoncé's video for "Single Ladies", nominated for the same award is more suitable, by saying "I'm really happy for you. [I'll] let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time - of all time!"

Kanye West was criticized by various celebrities for the outburst, including President Barack Obama, who called him a "jackass."

"Single Ladies" won "Video of the Year" later in the ceremony.

Various Kanye West YTMNDs have him interrupt different past events or pop culture references, such as 9/11, the death of Patrick Swayze, Mortal Kombat, Hurricane Katrina Disaster Relief telethon, the Michael Richards Laugh Factory Incident, or Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have A Dream" speech
