YTMND Radio Closing and Current Status

On June 10, 2006, YTMND Radio affiliate TheOzoneRadio has announced on their site that Max Goldberg plans to close YTMND Radio down because of the price to keep it running. YTMND radio was taken down by Max sometime during the morning of Tuesday, August 1st, 2006 and was temporarily moved to However, later that same day, due to listeners dissapointment with lostformula's musical selection and lack of emotional connections to YTMND, Alextide32 found a free radio hosting service called Listen2myradio, and relaunched the radio under its current name PTKFGS Radio, at However, PTKFGS Radio didn't do so well at Listen2myradio and was moved to alextide32's computer temporarily as Flying Lobsters Radio. Since Flying Lobsters Radio was hosted locally with the station being off the air whenever alextide was offline, he decided that it would be better for PTKFGS Radio to have a better host. While there is currently no "YTMND Radio" alextide32 does a radio show every Friday night on Ozone Radio. Radio Citrus

On Monday, February 16, 2009, user Q959FM started preliminary work on a new YTMND-themed station, based off comments from "YTMND: The Podcast." YTMND users thefatheroftime and speedy said "please start a real podcast" and "Stickam. Ustream. Among others. This must happen. YT-FM-ND must happen." That got some wheels turning and soon a list of tentative names for a new station included: Radio Orange, YT-FM-ND, and Radio Khan.

On Tuesday, February 17, 2009, user Q959FM purchased in anticipation of a new YTMND-themed radio station that could launch before May 1, 2009. The name "citrus" was chosen because the name "Radio Orange" was taken, a reference to YTMND's color scheme. Radio Citrus could include real-life interaction with YTMND users via Skype and a telephone voicemail number, and would include some live shows, with taped programming running throughout the rest of the day.

Passive advertising began on March 25, 2009 with a site titled "You May Be Famous on 05.01.09" featuring several MicrophoneTMNDs.
