The obey fad began on March 30, 2006 with OBEY Nixon by the userSpotz. Then that weekend, multiple OBEY YTMNDS were forced into the top 15 by an outsider ytmnd forum called The Price is LOL and the fad was born. It was quickly met with negative attention and anti-Obey sites were created. The music always used in the fad was "ShinRa Company" from the video game "Final Fantasy VII". The fad quickly died out and hasn't been used since.
