The "McFly Stole" fad uses scenes from 2 different movies. The original site was created by veteran user syncan and featured McFly on his hoverboard being chased by Future Conan for stealing a Butterfinger. The background was a scene from the movie Time Bandits, which showed smoke coming down a hallway. Conan's face was placed in the smoke so it showed that Conan was a spirit hunting down McFly.
The site was very popular and yielded more than 75,000 views. The fad is often difficult to do because of massive photoshopping required.
The song that accompanied the image was an excerpt from the song "Hey Girl, Hey Boy" by the electronica group Chemical Brothers]. The song was included on Volume 10 of the YTMND Soundtrack.
