The Space Jam fad is a unique as it originated from a 4chan video. The video showed various images of legendary wrestler Randy Savage "The Macho Man", accompanied by a remix of "Space Jam" by the Quad City DJs. The remix involved the lyrics being mixed into the MOD chiptune "Funky Stars".
The video made it's way to ytmnd sometime in April 2005 and shortly became a fad. Early sites would show various people getting slammed, but the most popular variant of the fad was the ability to remix the song with other music due to it's limited use of instruments other than percussion. The song has been remixed with various other fads, like NEDM, lol internet, and What is Love.
The original unremixed song was included on Volume 3 of the YTMND Soundtrack.
