The '''Holy crap''' fad was first created by {{ytmnduser|CDawg82191}} on April 26, 2006 (a school day, I had decided to fake sick ^_^). At first, the site featured a blank screen with a period portrayed as a meteor (hey, I thought a period would look like a meteor, but instead it didn't, then it got high ratings. Would you delete it if it got to #1?). After users began commenting on the site, a background image was added. The site went through many edits and became the YTMND as is seen now. The "meteor" effect is only possible on YTMND due to the sites use of 3-D text.

YTMNDs of this type often have a variety of different texts, sometimes aligned with the image. The initial song was "Requiem for a Tower", but due to massive complaints about the overuse of the "Fire Spirit" theme, the song was changed to Yasunori Mitsuda's "Lavos's Theme" from the video game ''Chrono Trigger''. <!-- as if rpg music wasn't overused already -->

Last and funniest thing is, I meant it as a joke expecting it to get no more then a 2 star rating.  When it became #1 rated, ''I'' wondered why it was doing so well.

The Holy crap fad was first created by me, CDawg82191 on April 26, 2006 (a school day, I had decided to fake sick ^_^). At first, the site featured a blank screen with a period portrayed as a meteor (hey, I thought a period would look like a meteor, but instead it looked like a square. Then it got high ratings. Would you delete it if it got to #1?). After users began commenting on the site, I added a background image. The site went through many edits and became the YTMND as is seen now. The "meteor" effect is only possible on YTMND due to the sites use of 3-D text.

YTMNDs of this type often have a variety of different texts, sometimes aligned with the image. The initial song I used was "Requiem for a Tower", but due to massive complaints about the overuse of the "Fire Spirit" theme, I changed the song was to Yasunori Mitsuda's "Lavos's Theme" from the video game Chrono Trigger mostly due to gamekid's siggestion (you happy now?).

Last and funniest thing is, I meant it as a joke expecting it to get no more then a 2 star rating. When it became #1 rated, I wondered why it was doing so well.

This page is a stub. Make it meaningful and add something to it.
