Later Digg got involved because of the fact that they were removing dugg articles containing the key and were banning members for it. In response of this, thousands of members started spamming the key in the comments and submitting articles containing the key[1]. It was found out that Digg was been sponsored by the HD-DVD Promotion Group[2]. Later the main owner of Digg posted on his blog that the Digg staff will stop banning members and removing dugg articles containing the key[3].
