Your suggestion for a front-page archive or whatever is a good idea, but I'm not entirely sure how it would work. It seems like a subject more suited to a blog than a wiki, actually. I'm also not sure we should use views if we were to do it; many sites from many months or even years prior frequently top the list. But if you have any ideas for improvement on this plan, I'd be welcome to them. --Westing1992 02:31, December 21, 2010 (UTC)
Maybe you're right and it wouldn't be practical as a wiki page. But I think only keep track of sites made that month - rather than include older sites that are still getting a lot of views. Maybe just the Top Ten viewed each month or like I said, just a set amount of views - 2K or 5k or 10k - whatever. (Top Viewed doesn't show weekly or monthly totals anymore, so people would just have to keep track as the weeks pass). And I think views would be better than rating as ratings tend to fluctuate. This summer sites were scoring incredibly high as the active users were mostly up voters as compared to now where it's mostly just down vote trolls acting with no moderation - it's not really comparable. I'll help if anyone else is interested but the reason I mentioned it to you is I don't really know what I'm doing on Wiki or web sites in general. Edit: I guess you could go by Top Rated per month rather than views. I was thinking if you set a rating limit it wouldn't work but no need. --Umfuld December 21, 2010
