Steve Irwin, the world renowned 'crocodile hunter' was killed by a stingray attack durring filming for a new documentary on 4th September 2006. The news resulted in a flurry of new YTMND's ranging from tributes to mockeries. Much like the England Got Owned fad there is no original YTMND or spinoffs, instead being a near simultanious reaction to the news. The only consistent elements currently to the fad are images of Steve Irwin and/or stingrays with many being little more than screenshots of news website stories.
With over 20 YTMNDs being made within an hour of his death, this is truly the fastest growing fad to date.
