Redirect

Somebody make a redirect from FSF to this article, because I don't know how. Barcode711 08:20, January 15, 2007 (CST)

Vs. YouTube

So I'd guess an FSF is an animation that's too long for the classic YTMND form but not long enough for, say, YouTube. --Tepples 23:58, April 2, 2009 (CDT)

lol at discussing this term long after it was made. But "FSF" is usually attributed to sites with extremely low framerates, like How Many Megs of Ram, Carmine? Sites with a fluid, high fps animation are not usually called a FSF. This is mostly due to YTMND's 3mb limit on GIF's and that high fps animations can only have so many frames without going over the limit. YouTube can have either of these (though low fps generally isn't as well received there) at any length, but what makes it work for YTMND is how it loops it constantly. Having How many Megs of Ram, Carmine loop immediately after the sudden punchline can leave the viewer disoriented and wondering "wtf just happened" , a feeling that's heavily toned down with videos on YouTube.
