In 2004 Apple Computers began running a series of distinctive ads for the iPod with silhouetted figures on solid-color backgrounds. The ads feature popular music and musicians using Apple products. The ads have appeared in television, print, and mosaic forms. In parody of these ads many ytmnd [[fads]] have been recolored to resemble genuine Apple advertisements. The image is usually coupled with the song "Jerk it Out" by [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caesars_%28band%29 Caesers], which was featured in the original commercials.

In 2006 a YTMND in this style was made as part of the The Colbert Report's Green Screen Challenge, where viewers edited a video of Stephen Colbert playing with a lightsaber. The video made in this style, which can be viewed as a YTMND {{y|ipodcolbert|here}}, aired on The Colbert Report later that year on September 28.
