On July 9th, 2006, French football player Zinedine Zidane made history by headbutting an opposing Italian player (Marco Materazzi) in the chest during the 2006 FIFA World Cup final's extra time, after Materazzi allgedly uttered a racial slur. This got Zidane received a red card after three minutes of negotiating between the players and the referee, and he was sent off the field. When walking past the World Cup trophy, he didn't even look at it. Before the World Cup started, Zidane had announced that this would be his last event in International and Club play.

Now many people have worked his headbutt into various YTMNDs, mostly about fighting videogames. The fad currently does not have a specific fad theme music, although many people are now using the NEDM fad theme in their YTMND's. The original, however, uses "Time Is Pop", the "rave" YTMND music.

Popularity

The YTMND Zidanedine Zidane fad which first appeared during the FIFA World Cup Final, has been very popular throughout the internet, and as a result of it YTMND has doubled in hits in the time following the world cup event [1].
