On April 9th, 2006, French football/soccer player Zinedine Zidane made history by headbutting an opposing Italian player (Marco Materazzi) in the World Cup 2006 final's extra time, after Materazzi supposedly uttered a racial slur. This World Cup was going to be the final thing in Zidane's football career, however, he chose to end it early.
