The oven fad is based on a site created by RescueRanger. In the original, an oven was shown with a button saying "stop time." The intended joke was that the oven was so powerful that it could stop time, rather than the intended effect of just setting when to stop the timer. Spinoff sites have simply edited the original image in various ways. The site's music is the main them from the SNES game Chrono Trigger, in which the manipulation of time figures heavily into the plot.
