Revision as of 12:15, February 8, 2011

well put the KYM page as an article in the press page, that would be more fitting.

What press page? And if you want it to go in there, why don't you do it?
By the way, you should sign your name on talk pages. And using capitalization would be nice as well.
Plus, why did you abbreviate 'Know Your Meme' as 'KYM'? I thought you said nobody understood acronyms? --Westing1992 20:27, September 1, 2010 (UTC)

alright, I'll succumb to your demands, but the reason I didn't like the Know Your Meme page was because it wasn't particularly YTMND related, since it covers all internet. I believe theres a press page where YTMND appears in the news or magazines, this would be the most fitting place for it. However I doubt many YTMND users would care, and in fact hate it being there as a few users have created YTMND's just to post on Know Your Meme.

I remember the press page, but it wasn't on the wiki but linked to from the about page; it seems to have been removed. I can understand your concerns about users self-promoting on the site, but that's on their end. --Westing1992 12:30, September 14, 2010 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure there was a wiki page as well, which was just a mirror of the about section's press page.

How about integrating articles (stuff like http://wiki.ytmnd.com/Category:Articles_to_be_merged)? How do you go about doing that? --Lastimero 05:16, December 18, 2010 (UTC)

At what point is an article no longer a stub? --Lastimero 10:09, December 18, 2010 (UTC)

I don't know if you or anyone else would be interested in this but I think it would be cool to keep track of what sites are popular during a month. Meaning a page listing each month as it passes with the sites that got X amount of views. Over 5,000 or whatever. Because you can always go back and look at older profiles like Syncan or Sitsu's but it's too bad you can't see like what were the most popular sites in Nov. 2005 and so on. I doubt you could do much about doing past months / years apart from just sites you know of putting them in the month they were made (but not all views come right away so you wouldn't really know I guess). But if we started it now at least in 2 years no one would be lamenting that they don't have it about now. - Umfuld

Kind of like Google Trends? Lacrossestar83

Excuse me,

I have noticed that you've reverted the recent edits to the "list of trolls" page. If you are unaware, Umfuld and JJJ have become prominent trolls today on YTMND and pose a somewhat serious threat level to the users' enjoyment on YTMND. With their non-stop downvoting, comment -'ing and hostile comments all over many sites, especially user-based sites (rodheh, lacrossestar83, pde10, uncircumcised, mik3m, etc...) they are hindering the enjoyment of users who have done little to nothing to originally impact their own experience (other than simply existing). They should be put back into the troll list.

As for Lickitwellhiem, I would skip out on him as he's not much of a troll, simply an erratic pissed off individual and has been improving recently.
