Worthy Spinoffs:

Scientology™ is a fad that originated from a cease and desist order by the legal representatives of the Church of Scientology. [1] The church demanded all Scientology related YTMNDs to be removed due to copyright and trademark infringments. Max replied to the group stating their claims were groundless and nothing would happen to the YTMNDs. [2]

Later, Max included a new section on the YTMND main page called "Scientology™ YTMNDs" (™ is a reference to the name Scientology being a trademark*), as well as a disclaimer stating "This website is in no way affiliated, sponsored or owned by the Church of Scientology, L Ron Hubbard, SeaOrg, Dianetics, volcanos or aliens of any sort. We are, however, sponsored by Citizens for the Release of Xenu, a not-for-sanity organization."

As a result, many sites related to Scientology and Xenu have emerged, as well as a dramatic reading of the cease and desist order similar to the one from Neil Bauman. A number of YTMNDs claim to tell the Unfunny Truth behind Scientology, notably An Illustrated History of Scientology and The Un-Funny Truth About Scientology. On June 14, 2006 Max mentioned in a news bulletin that harrasing voice mails were sent to the lawyers of the Church; Max plans to hold those who made the messages accountable for their actions. [3] There has been no further contact from the Church as of June 23, 2006 and the section on the front page about Scientology has been removed. [4].
