Bang Bang On The Door Baby! is a YTMND created by YourTheCoconutMan on February 10, 2007.

The site's image is a loop of The Wizard of Oz, in which Dorothy knocks on a gate and a guard greets her. The sound is a clip of The B-52's Love Shack. The image syncs with the song as Dorothy knocks on the door when the song says "Bang Bang on the door, baby," and the guard's response is redubbed with the next lines of the song. It is interesting to note that, as the site finishes looping, the animated GIF has looped twice as the accompanying MP3 has only looped once, meaning the image is exactly half as long as the sound. Despite this, the site manages to stay in sync after several loops.

Spin-offs of the original followed quickly. However, because the original had very few things to edit, very few spin-offs received above a 4 star rating. These spin-offs would usually use a scene from a movie in which someone is knocking on a door and someone else answers. Then the image is synced to the clip of Love Shack, like the original. Some spin-offs would edit the doorman's response in the sound clip so that he says what he said in the original movie. Because of the scarcity of well-made spin-offs, the fad's popularity faded quickly.

Recently, the fad song, Love Shack, has been added to Volume 16 of the YTMND Soundtrack.
