"Friday" is a song by Rebecca Black, produced by vanity record label Ark Music Factory. Black, a 13-year-old girl, made the song and accompanying music video after her mother paid Ark $2,000 for Black to sing her choice of one of two songs. The song Black picked, "Friday", is about how she's glad that it's so close to the weekend and her dilemma over whether she should sit in the front seat or back seat of her friends' car. There's also a rapper.
The song quickly went viral, with many mocking its lyrics, which include an explanation of the days of the week. One of the many websites that made fun of the song (and its accompanying music video) was YTMND.
