The Greatest Adventure is a contest on the YTMND homepage that ran in 2011 from September 8th to September 18th, with the last entry accepted September 16th.

The contest was hosted by user fearcondom, and the description was "The new YTMND homepage is a tiny island situated in the middle of a great expanse tknown as the Padding Sea, what daring explorer will venture into the unknown and discover new life beyond the horizon? Create a site that explores the uncharted waters of the azure padding surrounding the homepage."

Many people found the wording of the contest confusing, and/or the subject to be inane, therefore most of the entries were sites either mocking the contest or fearcondom himself, or random sites that had nothing to do with the theme.
