On May 27, 2006, the first "trap" stride site was created by the user NovaDaveX called "{{y|scott|Can't Break Scotty's stide}}" which showed the Star Trek character appearing to walk before banging into a low bar and falling.  The music then stops after the bang.  Since this site, there have been many other trap sites.

Can't Break ...'s Stride is a fad with GIFs of running people, accompanied by Matthew Wilder's Break My Stride. The first one was made by syncan at February 26th, 2006. Sometimes the GIF involves some obstacle that the character easily traverses, implying that the obstacle "couldn't break his stride". The Hobo-Cruise fad spawned out of this as "Can't Break the Eyeballs' Stride!". For sites that may depict rave culture, a club version of Blue Lagoon's take may be used.
