There's a reason why a page is protected. Before unprotecting it, ask the sysop/admin who first protected it, or at least let them know. Wheel wars suck.
If you don't know how to yet, check the log for the title of the page to see why it was protected, and whom it was protected by. If you don't agree with the protection, let someone know.
