About me

I like, well, games, preferably older video or computer games. I do not own a current-generation game console, but would not mind an Xbox 360 (I want to play Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved and see it for myself), and I do have a PC anyway. I also like Lindsay Lohan, Dulce María, and many other redheads. Also Milla.

My sites

Style

I often make strict-style or "classic"-style sites. These days, I often put together simple mashups of rap/pop music with videogame music for my sites, while maintaining a largely strict style. mushadv has apparently noticed. However, I prefer public-domain and libre content whereever possible; the image of my first site is made entirely of public-domain Wikipedia images, and ourgodisafractalgod uses public-domain images with Creative Commons Attribution-licensed sound.

I have a series of "monitor expression" sites whose domain names start with s and end with eyes; each one shows a verticon like O_O on a black background. The entire series has the keyword "monitor expressions".

Fads

I prefer to stay away from fad-based sites and make sites in strict-style or other types, but I may make one at times if, for instance, I like the music, premise, or character involved (Secret Islamic Sailor Jupiter, for example, for the cute girl and cool music). I also despise fad sites that ignore core aspects of their respective fad (including many "Epic Maneuver"-type sites).

If I had to choose one alternate universe, it would probably be YesYes, because I have seen some smart sites made for that.

Votes and viewing habits

I try to give votes from

to
Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination
and amounts in between. I usually like to check Up and Coming sites, but if I give too many
Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination
and
Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination
votes I'll check random sites to find awful ones.

Users who mention their use of Audacity or GIMP make me a little happier.

I strongly prefer strict ("classic" style) sites—"Strict YTMND FTW", as I often say.

I prefer clean (or satirically awful-looking) sites to crude Paint jobs. I might appreciate good, original pixel art though.

Finally, having Lohan in your site helps (but the facial-expressions thing is hackneyed).

Otherwise, I try to take MasterSitsu's advice to Polizei and judge a site on merits. I stay away from user bias whenever possible, but do note that some users actually do make better YTMNDs than others.

I do not have any alt accounts. Any multi-account votes you receive from someone claiming to be me are not mine.

Comments

I like verticons, like Asgard01 does, but I use them far less in my comments.

Sometimes I like to type an elongated "sweet" (e.g., "sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet").

My "This just killed NEDM" comment on reggie-wanker's Taking of Pelham gave rise to his follow-up, OMG They Killed-.

One of my comments here led to the use of Lavos' Theme in "holy crap, a meteor!" and its derivatives.

“B” button

These days I tend to give comments like "You can hold down the "B" button for continuous firing." That one, and the ones in the table below, are from the manual of the NES version of The Guardian Legend (specifically the second and third paragraphs in its "How to Play" section), which can be found in the middle of this page of The Guardian Legend Shrine.

I started using them on November 24, 2006 (at 23:28:42 YTMND time to be exact, lol) because I was bored and I wanted to make gimmick comments that would make people go "wtf?"
