I removed the pop culture references as there is no proof of said allegations. [dork]The trident you speak of is usually a reference to the Greek god Poseidon/ the roman god Neptune (did it get those backwards?). Seeing as Empoleon is a water Pokemon and its name is part of the word emperor (a reference to the emperor penguin I'm sure) the trident would be referencing its mythological roots as a symbol of power over the sea [/dork] --MarcusTheMartin 21:56, May 28, 2007 (CDT)
