Prehistoric Dinosaur

The Prehistoric Dinosaur fad began on November 19, 2008 when prairiedogeric10 was sitting in his room still recovering from wisdom teeth removal surgery the previous day. He liked the concept of the Moon Man fad, but did not enjoying making sites that could be deemed as racist. So, he took an animated GIF image from the popular online game site, Pogo, which happened to be a singing dinosaur, known as a Zoppa from the Club Pogo game PoppaZoppa, and posted it on YTMND accompanied with the AT&T Mike TTS voice saying hateful things about longnecks. The true scientific name for a longneck is Apatosaurus. Prehistoric Dinosaur often puts himself into the setting of the Land Before Time movies and uses their speaking methods (Longneck for Apatosaurus, Three-Horn for Triceratops, Flyer for Pteranodon, Sharptooth for Tyrannosaurus Rex, Earthshake for Earthquake, Falling Rock for Meteor, Smoking Mountain for Volcano, etc.).

Prehistoric Dinosaur lives in a cave in the Mysterious Beyond, where he likes to store dead longnecks. He often breaks into the Great Valley to chase and kill Littlefoot and his pals. He also has a few friends, Modern Sharptooth and Premarital Rex, both of which are represented by animated GIFs found on the Internet by prairiedogeric10 and scottiepimpin, respectively. prairiedogeric10 also gave Prehistoric Dinosaur an enemy, Topsy Hornington III. These alternative dinosaurs are rarely used in YTMNDs, but may be of importance later on. Modern Sharptooth, whose voice is that of AT&T Rich, revealed that Prehistoric Dinosaur is bisexual in his first appearance, but he has no problem with it.

Becoming a Fad

The concept of Prehistoric Dinosaur never really caught on until late July of 2009. Many YTMND users were aware that he existed, but prairiedogeric10 was really the only user that made sites about him. lickitwellhiem made a few and DarthWang tried to counter the fad by creating Mr. Meteor, but it never caught on. Then, when prairiedogeric10 made this, falcon176 began making Prehistoric Dinosaur sites, which inspired prairiedogeric10 to create the Dino Crew as a joke, not thinking anyone would be interested. But surprisingly, ten people signed up. They are as follows:

The Crew is in the early stages, as only a few users have made actual Prehistoric Dinosaur sites, but there is still a lot of time before 2012.
